Joud Residence – Hotel near airport in Washington

The hotel had recently undergone a little bit of a spruce up, offering rooms with a small kitchen that were spacious and located in a prime area. However, the views faced an alley-way, not quite matching the advertised 'great views. '

My short visit to the hotel was underwhelming. The rooms get very bright once the sun rises, making it hard to sleep. The place could use some renovation to freshen up its look.

The hotel is located on a quiet street and offers a one bedroom efficiency room with necessary amenities but in a stark decor with white paint. Although it needed new blinds, the room was comfortable and functional. The service was friendly and helpful, despite occasional cluelessness. The location was excellent for exploring nearby attractions but suffered from noise due to its proximity to a main highway. The dining experience was lacking, with a dorm-like atmosphere and lack of variety, like Swiss cheese.

I truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel! The location is superb, nestled between Foggy Bottom and Georgetown, making it easy to walk to iconic landmarks like the White House and the National Mall. The rooms were cozy, with a small balcony offering a nice touch, and had all the essential amenities, including a small kitchen and even a heater for unexpected chilly nights. The service was outstanding, with a friendly and accommodating staff always ready to assist. However, the need for a thorough cleaning was evident, slightly detracting from an otherwise excellent experience.

I stayed at a hotel located within walking distance of Georgetown. The rooms were very clean and the bed was really comfortable. However, the hotel was old and poorly maintained with sagging sofas and beds, limited kitchen accessories for a studio apartment, and some noise from facing the park.
